A brief history of the Peugeot Partner

As is customary with a lot of great vans, the Partner shares its platform with many others such as the Citroen Dispatch, Vauxhall Vivaro and the Renault Trafic. Beginning life as a small panel van with very limited interior tech and basic loading bay the Partner really hit its stride with the first major overhaul in 2007.

The French manufacturers aimed to add creature comforts to separate it from a crowded pack which resonated with their customers who were tired of driving vans which were too basic with a boring and uninspiring interior. The quality didn’t end there, however, as the Partner was also home to some of the most reliable and economical engines in the small van market especially the HDI models.

Now in its third generation, Peugeot introduced the iCockpit commonly seen in their passenger vehicles, most notably introduced by the 308 as well as a selection of e-HDI engines which can achieve over 60 mpg.

The Peugeot Partner is a brilliant small van to lease. With a class-leading payload (1000kg) and the aforementioned economical engines, you’ll be hard-pressed finding a better van for general courier work and for tradespeople who have a small number of tools and equipment to ferry.
